I bet their VA's were cracking up when they had to do this episode. Everybody goes crazy because of a Hate Potion Juvia bought (she thought it was a Love-Potion) and so whatever they see first they declare it to be their rival.
Erza declares that a pillar is hers.
Gray says Happy is his.
Mira says that Erza is hers. (She's ignored)
Elfman is upset because there's no "Real Men" that can challenge him.
And of course, Makarov here believes alcohol is his.
I very nearly died of laughter when I watched this episode.
You know Alcohol, being you drinking buddy? Never mind. It's probably only funny around much older people. I have friends that are in their 70's, 80's and one guy in his 90's so yea it's probably and old joke that isn't very good.
Besides you will learn some valuable information having friends that age. Live life to the fullest, do what makes you happy, and you don't live forever so stop trying and just have fun with the years you have left.
I don't know about the laws where you live, but around here you wouldn't even be old enough to drink anyway. I'm a 35 year old guy by the way, that just happens to be a wannabe writer and artist. Trust me, if I had a fulltime job and wasn't unemployed this MLP fan fiction stuff would just be a little hobby of mine. Anyhow yes I drink occasionally, sometime to excess, but who cares it's my legal right! I don't use drugs, I don't steel things or hurt people, I just like to drink a little. The older friends of mine and I are Members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, here in the US. I personally have been the President of the Order once but that was 5 years ago. I am still a member of the Grand Aerie though, for being a past president. It is a world wide organization, sort of like the Masons. Without all the hype.
I live in the Netherlands, so I was allowed to drink when I was 16 (but now it's changed to 18). And well, I guess nothing's wrong with drinking if you don't drink and drive, or just endanger people in general? Eh, what, Fraternal Order of Eagles? XD Never ever heard of that, sorry. I don't really know a lot about USA culture, I guess? But if you say it's world wide... I'm not a very social person, I generally dislike groups etc so maybe that explains why I don't know the organisation? >_>
Yea I said world wide, but we are mostly in the US, Canada, Uk, Australia, and New Zealand. I got to thinking about that and looked it up. Yea, its a boastful slogan. Were Americans after all.
At least it's not as funny as the Miss Universe competition. I mean when is the last time someone entered from Mars or Venus. Or even from the Vega solar system.
Yea it kind of sucks here in the us. All but about three states have a legal drinking age of 21, but you can vote and join the military at 18, all states agree on 16 for a legal driving age though. Of course all that is way behind me now.
Ah okay. But then again, those countries are spread all over the world so I think "world wide" seems pretty fair for something like that xD At least it's shorter than always saying "it's based in the US, Canada, Uk....", right?
Wait, there's a Miss Universe competition? XD Jesus, that's pretty bad. We couldn't wait to find out what kind of other living beings there are out there and to see if they already have competitions such as that, so we went ahead and made one, just in case? *shakes head* Mankind is doomed, I tell ya xD
21 has always seemed like such an illogical age to me, to be honest. And I'm guessing that nobody actually follows that rule and just ends up drinking before 21 anyway? At least that's always been the case here xD Legal driving age over here is 18, though you can start with your lessons when you're 16, get your licence at 17 and then to drive with someone who has at least x amount of years experience (I forgot how much lol) till you're 18..
